1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash). We may also collect your name and role (e.g., business owner, consumer).

Business Profile Information

If you claim or create a business profile, we store the information you provide: business name, address, phone, email, website, hours, logo, photos, social media links, promotions, and other storefront content.

Usage Data

We collect analytics data such as page views, clicks, search queries, and interactions with the map. This helps us improve the Service and provide insights to business owners.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number; Stripe handles all payment data securely. We retain transaction records (amount, date, product) for accounting and support.

Location Data

The map may request your device location to show nearby businesses. This data is used only for the current session and is not stored unless you explicitly save a plan or preference.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and business profiles.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To send service-related emails: notifications, outreach invitations, reports, and re-engagement messages.
• To display business listings and storefronts to visitors.
• To provide analytics and insights to business owners (view counts, click data).
• To improve our Service, including AI-powered features like the day planner and business advisor.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Stripe — for payment processing.
• Amazon SES / Gmail — for sending outreach and notification emails.
• LLM providers — to generate AI features (e.g., business advisor reports, day plans). Only the data needed for the specific request is sent.
• Map providers — for rendering the interactive map and geocoding addresses.

Business profile information (name, address, hours, photos, etc.) is publicly visible on the Service by design — it is a directory. Profile analytics (views, clicks) are visible only to the profile owner and platform administrators.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Business profile data remains on the Service even if your account is closed, as it serves the public directory. You may request deletion of your personal data; we will comply subject to legal and operational constraints.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through the Service's support channels.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has registered, please contact us so we can remove the account.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, secure password hashing, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
